As a psychologist, I prioritize establishing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space. This environment serves as a foundation for self-discovery, healing, and personal growth.

Hi, I am Caitlin...

Beginning the therapeutic journey starts with finding the right therapist for you. It's crucial to connect with someone you feel comfortable opening up to. To help you get to know me better, here's a bit about myself, my training, previous work, and philosophies, to see if we might be the right therapeutic fit.

I am a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Creating a safe and confidential space is foundational in my practice. I strive to offer a non-judgmental and empathetic environment where you can explore and understand yourself, initiating a path of self-discovery and growth.

My journey into psychology began with my undergraduate and Honors studies at Rhodes University, followed by completing my Masters degree in Pretoria. I gained experience at various practices and clinics before establishing my own Private Practice in Faerie Glen. Outside of my professional life, I am a Christian, a wife, and a mother, passionate about the outdoors and seeking adventure.

I draw from a range of therapeutic models, primarily utilizing Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy in treatment plans. I believe in a therapeutic approach that values humor, empathy, and practical treatment plans. My practice is grounded in creating a comfortable and supportive environment that can ease tensions and foster connection. With empathy at the core of my work, I strive to deeply understand each individual's unique experiences and challenges. I emphasize practical treatment plans that are tailored to meet your specific needs and goals, ensuring our work together is both effective and meaningful. Through this approach, I aim to empower you on your journey towards personal growth and well-being.

During our initial session, I gather background information to develop a tailored treatment plan. Together, we discuss the number and duration of sessions required. I offer both online and in-person sessions to accommodate your needs.
