Counselling for Mothers and Mothers to-be

Areas of maternal health care in therapy included, but are not limited to: therapy for infertility counselling, birth debriefing, adjustment to baby, perinatal depression and anxiety, return to work preparation.

Maternal mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, significantly influencing the experiences and challenges mothers face during and after pregnancy. It encompasses a range of emotional and psychological issues, including perinatal depression and anxiety, which can affect a mother's ability to bond with her child and navigate the demands of new motherhood. These conditions are often exacerbated by factors such as infertility, the stress of pregnancy, and the transition to parenting, all of which can lead to feelings of isolation and overwhelm.

Moreover, the societal pressures surrounding motherhood can intensify these struggles, making it essential to prioritize mental health support. Access to resources like counseling, peer support groups, and educational programs can provide mothers with the tools they need to cope effectively. By addressing maternal mental health, we not only support the well-being of mothers but also promote the healthy development of their children. A comprehensive approach that includes emotional support, community connections, and professional guidance is vital for helping mothers thrive during this transformative and often challenging period of their lives.
